A Home of Hope: Mama Agnes’ Story

CRESS AFRICA FOUNDATION MIDYEAR REFLECTION MEETINGS 2025
Isaac Kuga, a determined youth among the CRESS Africa Foundation selected, has successfully completed a three-month vocational skills training in Graphics and Design.
Before the training, Kuga had little hope of earning a sustainable income or contributing meaningfully to his community. But thanks to CRESS Africa Foundation and the generous support of his sponsor, that has changed. Through this vocational program, Kuga gained hands-on skills in branding, poster design, photo editing, business cards, digital art, and social media content creation.
Today, Kuga is equipped not only with technical knowledge but also with confidence and creativity. He has already started designing flyers and logos for local businesses within the settlement, earning a small but growing income. His dream is to open a mini-design studio where other youth can also learn and work.
“I’m thankful to CRESS Africa Foundation and my sponsor for believing in me. You’ve given me a tool that will feed me for a lifetime,” Kuga says with joy.
Kuga’s story is a shining example of how empowering young people with skills can transform lives and communities. His success is a reminder that with the right support, even the most vulnerable can rise and thrive.
