From Savings to Sustainable Livelihoods: The Story of Asina Adiru
My name is Woja Nicholas Taban, and today, 29th May 2026, marks one of the most significant milestones in my life. I am filled with gratitude, joy, and a deep sense of accomplishment as I receive my National Diploma in Agribusiness Management from Bukalasa Agricultural College.
This achievement is not only a personal success but also a testimony of the transformative power of education, mentorship, and the generosity of those who believe in the potential of young people.
My educational journey has been made possible through the unwavering support of CRESS Africa Foundation and my dedicated sponsors, who faithfully invested in my future by supporting my education from secondary school all the way through college. Their commitment to my growth gave me the opportunity to pursue my dreams despite the challenges that could have easily limited my potential.
There were moments along the journey that required resilience, determination, and hard work. However, knowing that there were people who believed in me and were willing to invest in my education motivated me to remain focused on my goals. Today, as I stand proudly with my diploma, I reflect on how far I have come and how many lives have contributed to this achievement.
This accomplishment serves as a powerful reminder that when young people are given access to education and support, they can overcome barriers and build brighter futures. I am proud to be one of the many sponsored children whose life has been transformed through educational opportunities. My story is evidence that dreams are valid, hard work pays off, and with the right support, aspirations can become reality.
