CRESS Africa Foundation, through its self reliance project distributed seedlings and tools

Safeguarding children is not just a policy requirement — it is a responsibility that demands commitment, awareness, and action from every organization working with children and vulnerable communities.
With support from CRESSUK & CRESS Africa Foundation, through its mission of equipping displaced and vulnerable communities with knowledge and skills for self-sustaining livelihoods, the CSCG successfully saved UGX 8,450,000 during their 2025/2026 savings cycle.
What began as a simple community savings initiative has developed into a powerful platform for financial resilience, economic empowerment, and mutual support. Through teamwork, discipline, and a shared vision, members have strengthened their savings culture, improved household financial planning, and created opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
This achievement demonstrates the important role Community Savings and Credit Groups (CSCGs) play in advancing financial inclusion, self-reliance, and sustainable community development. Beyond the financial inclusion, the CSCG has fostered unity, encouraged investment in education and household wellbeing, and inspired members to engage in small income-generating activities.
Their journey is a powerful reminder that when communities unite with purpose, commitment, and collective action, sustainable change becomes possible.
Congratulations to all members of Kilaji Primary School CSCG for this remarkable achievement and for setting an inspiring example within the community.
