Bringing Hope to Refugee Schools – A Call to Rise!

Kuga’s Journey to Self-Reliance through Graphics and Design
Under a sky filled with gratitude and joy, Rev. Canon Jacob Karaba led the dedication of a newly built house by CRESS Africa Foundation for Mama Agnes a vulnerable mother from Imvepi Refugee Settlement. The CRESS Africa Foundation team, alongside community members, gathered to witness this powerful moment of transformation and hope.
After years of living in vulnerable conditions, Mama Agnes now has a safe and dignified place to call home. Her heartfelt words moved everyone present:
“Thank you, CRESS Africa Foundation and Caroline Lamb, for building a house for me—my new home. When the winds blow and dark clouds gather, I no longer fear the rain. I now sleep peacefully, knowing that I am safe and sheltered.”
The house you built is not only larger and stronger, but it has also restored my dignity. The bed and mattress you provided help me rest well every night—something I had not experienced in a long time.
May God bless you abundantly and increase your resources to continue blessing others like me.”
Mama Agnes’ story is a beautiful reminder that hope is restored when compassion meets action. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
