Empowering Growth: CSCG Members Receive Agricultural Tools from CRESS Africa Foundation
From bare soil to bountiful harvests, the Tiyi Morjita Agriculture Group and individual farmers in Rhino Camp and Mijale have turned resilience into results. With support from CRESS Africa Foundation, through the provision of tools, assorted seeds, and trainings on climate-smart approaches. The group has harvested over 50 kg of tomatoes in their first harvest, transforming lives and feeding families.
Among them is Mary Sunday, a mother of 5, proudly harvested over 120 kg from her individual tomato garden and earned over UGX 300,000.
“These tomatoes changed our lives,” says Mary Sunday. “We are no longer waiting for help, we are helping ourselves. "I am tired of living in grass thatched house, and I am going to use this money to buy iron sheets and build semi-permanent house for my self.
This is more than farming. It’s self-reliance in action.
